Ashley and Angela’s Santa Cruz Wedding at Hollins House at Pasatiempo Golf Course

“HOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!”  That’s basically what comes to mind when I think about Ashley and Angela’s wedding.  What’s better than one gorgeous bride on wedding day?  How about two?  Fer serious!  This wedding was especially awesome for about thirty reasons.  Wanna try me?  Okay, here we go…. First, this was my first same sex wedding.  Second, a few months ago The Supreme Court got their act together and shot down all this Prop 8 stuff that prevented the legal marriage of same sex couples (not that it would have stopped these two!), so this bad boy was LEGAL!  Third, Ashley and Angela are just two of the sweetest people I have ever met.  I’ve never felt more welcomed, and encouraged to join in on the festivities in my life.  Fourth, they gave each other A) a Kayak and B) a surfboard as bride’s gifts. Fifth, Angela and her parents jam-sesh-danced down the aisle, hands waving in the air the whole way!  Sixth, Angela fully sung her vows to Ashley using her bridesmaids (and bridesman) as backup vocals. Seventh, they busted out a shot of Absolut Vodka on the altar, in front of everyone, as their first drink together as a married couple.  Eighth, I completely made an ass of myself by falling off of a ceremony chair in the middle of family portraits, landing on two other chairs splintering them to pieces.  Ninth, they had one of the most well coordinated first dances I’ve ever seen, Chris Brown’s jaw was on the floor like, “Whhhuuuuuuut!!!”  Tenth, there may or may not have been a time when Angela was pouring a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka down the BARTENDER’s throat.  Eleventh, Twerking happened.  A lot.  Twelfth,….  well you get the idea!!! This wedding was crazy special.  There were so many thoughtful details, that were uniquely representative of Ashley and Angela, and the two of them put so much effort into hosting a super rockin’ party for their guests.  I don’t think anyone went home without their share of libations, which is exactly how they wanted it!

Their wedding was held down at Hollins House at Pasatiempo Golf Course.  I have to give a HUGE shout out to Vinny Minton at Imperial Productions who busted out a same day edit video that just blew my mind.  His work is just over the top awesome and I’m hoping we can work together again next year.  Definitely take a few minutes to check it out: http://imperial-video.com/angela-ashley-same-day-edit/

Over the course of us getting to know each other, Ashley and Angela have suggested we go out in the Castro together… After seeing how these two threw down on their wedding night I’m thinking I need to wear my big boy pants for this outing.  They would show me up for SURE!

Ashley and Angela… I’m so thankful you two brought me on board for your wedding.  It’s one that will stick in my memory for the rest of my life.
