Ashley and Matt’s North Beach San Francisco Engagement Portrait Session

I LOVE pizza, like, L.O.V.E. it!!!!  Buuuuut, I’m kind of deathly allergic to it”  Haha, whaaaaat?  This was my first reaction when Ashley was telling me about some of the things that she and Matt love to do together.  “I just take these little tabs and then I’m okay… There is NO way I’d ever give it up!”

To say that Matt is a go-getter might be a bit of an understatement.  He’s starting companies, dealing in real estate, crafting delicious cookie-ice-cream-sandwich shops, and all sorts of things, but that’s all his business… what matters (to me) is his pursuit of women.  I mean, I’m a dude, I ask how it all went down and then take notes.  (just to up my game a little bit here people!)  Matt was down in San Diego working on a few company projects that allowed him to travel.  On a whim he decided to work from San Francisco for few months.  In advance of his trip he hopped on Match.com to line up dates in advance of when he got here!  I mean why would a single guy ever move to a town without having lined up a few dates?  I KNEW I’ve been doing it wrong!  Ashley was under the impression that he lived here permanently.  “Wait… so you dont accuualllyy live here?”  “Ummm well… lemme explain!”  I can imagine how that answer came out.  Let’s just say that San Diego became a less and less of a factor as he got to know her. ;D

For their engagement session we made a hilarious time out of running around North Beach on a cloudy day.  If I could photograph cheese hanging out of the mouths of a laughing couple for the rest of my life, I’m pretty sure I’d be cool with that.  If you know anything about pizza, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, is clearly on your list.  Their margherita pizza is INSANE… tomatoes and mozzarella are ordered in limited quantities from little Italian men across the pond, and then their ovens are like SUPER pizza ovens transforming dough into delicious pies in about 90 seconds. Yah, can I get one of those for my house please?  Mmm K.  We finished the afternoon at  15 Romolo which features delicious adult beverages which always satisfies.  It was a great ending to a great day.
